If you’re in the Greater Sudbury area and looking for assistance with business and marketing, be sure to make them top of your list.
FedNor is the government of Canada’s economic development organization for Northern Ontario. FedNor looks to provide programs, services and financial support to growing businesses towards the goal of building a better North Ontario. If you’re looking for funding, they’re worth contacting.
The MakerBot Thingiverse is a community of individuals who create and share 3D printable CAD designs in a constantly growing library. Worth checking out if you’re curious about the growing world of 3D printing.
GRABCAD is an Open-Source community based around engineering CAD software. Boasting a large library of shared CAD files and opportunities for collaborative work, this community is an excellent resource when looking to start a new project.
Makezine is a web and print magazine and community based around DIY projects with a large emphasis on 3D printing, Arduino based electronics and Raspberry Pi computing.
Hackerspaces.org is a wiki detailing up to date information on available Hackerspaces around the world. A hackerspace is a communal space where members can meet, collaborate and work on a wide variety of DIY projects. These spaces often give access to tools, resources and utilities that are essential to the completion of the project.
